About these audio tools
Trimming a clip, converting a file or pulling the words out of a recording should not need a download or an account. These audio tools run in your browser, so the files you open stay on your own device. Some of them, such as the transcriber and the vocal remover, use a small AI model that loads the first time you use it; after that they work much faster.
If you are not sure which format to export, MP3 plays almost everywhere and is a safe default. WAV is uncompressed, so it is large but loses nothing, which makes it the right choice while you are still editing. Every time a lossy file such as an MP3 is converted again, a little more detail is lost, so convert from your original whenever you can rather than from a copy.
