Tips for building a good sound board
The best board is a small one. A dozen well-chosen clips that you know by heart are more useful during a live stream than a hundred you have to hunt through. Keep each clip short, ideally a few seconds, so that it lands as a reaction rather than interrupting the conversation, and trim any silence from the start so that it fires the moment you press the key.
Volume matters as much as content. Use clips that are roughly the same loudness, so that one does not blast viewers while another is barely audible, and test them against your game and microphone levels before you go live.
If you stream on Twitch, be careful with copyrighted music and well-known sound effects. Platforms can mute or remove recordings of streams that include material you do not have the right to use. Choose clips you have made yourself, or sounds that are free to use.
Your board is stored in your own browser, which is why it is still there next time you open the page. Very large clips use up browser storage, so shorter files keep it quick. To use the board on stream, add this page as a Custom Browser Dock in OBS, or open it in a browser window beside your stream.
FAQ
Do my sounds stay here if I close the tab?
Yes — your board (including the actual audio clips) is saved locally in your browser and will still be there next time you open this page, on this same device and browser. Nothing is uploaded anywhere.
Can I use keyboard shortcuts?
Yes — each pad gets a number or letter key automatically (shown in the top-left corner), and pressing that key plays the sound, even if this tab isn't focused on a specific element.
Can I use this as an OBS dock?
Yes — add it as a Custom Browser Dock in OBS (Docks → Custom Browser Docks) pointing at this page's URL, and you'll have quick access to your sounds without leaving your streaming layout.
