The short version
Cwtch.es is free to use. Use the tools for lawful purposes and only with material you have the right to use. They are provided as they are, which means we work hard to make them reliable but cannot promise they will always work or suit your exact purpose. These terms explain the details.
Using the site
You may use the tools and games for personal, educational, community and commercial projects, including the pictures, videos, audio and documents you make with them. What you create belongs to you, and we do not claim any rights to it, since your files are processed on your own device and are not sent to us.
You must not use the site to break the law, to infringe someone else's copyright, to harass or deceive people, to make material that sexualises children or promotes violence, or to attack, overload or interfere with the site or its servers. Please do not try to bypass limits, scrape the site at a scale that affects other users, or use automated tools against the games and APIs without asking first.
Your material and your responsibility
You are responsible for the files and text you put into the tools and for what you do with the results. Make sure you have permission to edit, convert or publish anything that is not yours. Tools that produce certificates, ID-style photos, posters or other documents are for fun or personal use, and results from them are not valid official documents.
Our content and code
The design, text, code, graphics and logos on Cwtch.es belong to us or are used under licence. You may link to any page and may embed tools as described on the embed page. Please do not copy or republish the guides, descriptions or design wholesale, and do not present our work as your own. Open-source libraries used by the tools remain under their own licences.
Accounts and logins
Most tools need no account. The Streaming Dashboard and the streamer games ask you to log in with Twitch or Kick. The login is handled by those services, and by logging in you also agree to follow their own terms. You are responsible for keeping any overlay, game or dashboard link private, because anyone who has a control link can control that game or layout. We may remove or reset links, rooms and saved data that are abused or have been inactive for a long time.
Advertising and third-party services
The site is paid for by advertising. Ads are served by third parties, who may use cookies or similar technology in line with their own policies. See our privacy policy for details of what we and they collect, and how you can control it. Some tools connect to third-party services such as Twitch, Kick or YouTube, and those services are not under our control. If a third party changes or withdraws its service, the related feature may stop working.
Paid products
The IRL Relay and any other paid product are provided under the terms shown at the point of purchase, together with these terms. A licence key is for the person or business it was issued to and may be used on the number of installs stated for it. Keys that are shared, resold or used outside those limits may be switched off.
No warranty
We do our best to keep the tools accurate and working, but they are provided "as is" and "as available", without any promise that they will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for a particular purpose. Calculators and generators give estimates and suggestions to help you plan, and they are not legal, financial, medical or professional advice. Check anything important with a qualified professional or the official source before you act on it. Always keep a copy of your original files, as some processing can fail or produce unexpected results.
Limits on our liability
Nothing in these terms limits any right you have that cannot lawfully be limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Subject to that, we are not liable for loss of data, files, profits or business, or for indirect or consequential loss, arising from your use of the site or from the site being unavailable. Where we are liable to you for something else, our total liability is limited to the amount you have paid us for the product concerned in the 12 months before the problem arose, or to £100 if you have paid nothing.
Changes, ending access and the law
We may change, add or remove tools and features, and we may update these terms. The date at the top of the page shows when they last changed, and continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the new version. We may restrict or end access for anyone who breaks these terms. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction over any dispute, although this does not affect any mandatory rights you have as a consumer in the country where you live.
